So, today I turned 38 - Happy Queen's Day!

This journey gets more interesting everyday. I'm learning more about myself and I'm growing in ways that I really didn't expect. But growth is always good and change is necessary.
My Birthday Ritual - Every year on my birthday, I take a moment to reflect on the things that I learned about ME this past year. Based on what I learned, I decide which parts of my life need to shift, which part needs to die and which part need to stand more boldly. I think this is an important process because it helps me to celebrate my accomplishments, my successes and my personal 'wins'. But at the same time it gives me an opportunity to make adjustments that will support me in reaching the goals that I have set for my life.

So, today I enjoyed a 90 min massage at a Spa along with private moments in the sauna. was wonderful, bittersweet even. Sweet, perhaps because every moment was a piece of paradise, but also 'bitter' because each time I get a massage by a new masseuse I have to go through the process of explaining my experience with Fibromyalgia, herniated discs and skin/muscle tenderness. It forces me to face the fact that Fibromyalgia, pain and muscle spasms are a reality in my world (for now). It requires me to own the pain. I can't ignore it, I can't change the subject. I'm forced to accept what IS today...Pain, constant unyielding pain.
There is a blessing in all of this. The blessing is that I can control the pain. I have not yet learned how...but I know that I can decide how I will respond to the pain and ultimately I decide how that pain will affect my life.
It's a very empowering position to be in, to recognize the power that you do have over your life. You have the Power to change everything in your world. So allow your next birthday to be a new beginning for you. Do some intro-spection - what in your life needs to shift? What habits need to be eliminated? What habits need to be re-inforced? What goals are you attempting to accomplish? It's time for us all to get serious about who we are and why we're here.
Take a moment to reflect on what you want to accomplish before your next birthday. Stay connected and see how TSLM can support you in being all you already are!!!
Hugs, until next time, Queenie!
