'The Self-Love Movement' launches its
Online Mentorship and Coaching Community For Women'
Atlanta, GA (October 8, 2007). The Self-Love Movement has announced the launch of its mentorship and coaching community for women whose goal is to support women in becoming all that they were destined to be. The Self-Love Movement 1) Teaches the philosophy of self-love, 2) Provides resources to support each woman on her journey inward, and 3) Nurtures a community of women dedicated to learning to love themselves and overcome many of the physical and emotional challenges that women face.
"Most every problem that we, as women, face today is a result of our own level of Self-Love or lack thereof. The challenge is that we are not taught how to truly love ourselves." says Queenie Brown, founder of The Self-Love Movement. "As young girls, we are taught to cook, clean and nurture those around us. Aside from everyday grooming, there is no extensive instruction on the value or methods by which we are to love ourselves.
“What’s really unfortunate is that every decision we make throughout our lives is based solely upon our level of love for ourselves. And if we’ve never known what loving ourselves should look like or feel like, we end up making choices that are, most likely, not in our best interest." Queenie says.
The Self-Love Movement was designed to be the resource that takes each woman by the hand and steps her through the process of learning how to love herself, recognize her value, appreciate her worth, identify her life’s assignment and utilize the natural Talent’s Abilities, Gifts and Skills (TAGS™) with which she has been equipped with to fulfill her purpose.
"It’s a lifelong journey that we each get to experience." Queenie continues. "Self-Love is so much more than getting your hair, nails done regularly. It's more than shopping 'till you drop' and it is more than pampering yourself. It’s about learning to give back to yourself so that we, as women, can continue to give.
Imagine how unbelievably powerful and immeasurably valuable a woman becomes when she embraces herself, her worth and her assignment fully. That is what Self-Love is all about and The Self-Love Movement is here to be her escort, accompanying her through the entire process.
Queenie confesses, “I created The Self-Love Movement to share with women what I’ve learned on my journey towards loving ‘the ME in my life’. While I will admit that this journey, like any other, will continue to be a learning process, getting to know ME has opened my eyes to a new level of commitment, understanding, acceptance, forgiveness and appreciation of ME.”
Queenie says that the most important component to the self-love journey that strengthened her throughout the process was the intimate spiritual relationship that she developed with God. Of all the self-help books she read, tapes she heard and seminars that she attended, none of them fully embraced God’s role in the act of LOVING YOURSELF. "Loving you begins with learning what Love truly is and that can only be found through learning who God truly is." She reveals.
The Self-Love Movement was born out of 2 founding principles. The first is Matthew 22:37-40 (Amp), which states, that you should love the Lord with all your heart, mind and intellect. This is the most important and principal commandment and the second is like it: you should love your neighbor as you love yourself. All of God’s laws depend upon these 2 commands.
“Hmmm…love my neighbor as I love myself. How, then, do I love myself?”, Queenie asks. That is exactly what The Self-Love Movement is designed to teach.
The second founding principle is Proverbs 31:17A (Amp), which states, She girds herself with strength (spiritual, mental and physical fitness for her God-given task)…”
The more a woman learns to nurture herself (Spirit, mind and body), the stronger and more equipped she becomes to show up powerfully in every relationship in her life. She will no longer be depleted and she will be able to give more of herself, more fully and much more productively.
Queenie Brown has been speaking to women’s groups for many years and she has found that a woman’s love; true intimate understanding, compassion, forgiveness, protection and adoration for herself was totally non-existent.
Queenie explains, “Now more than ever, women are giving to others out of an empty cup. And subsequently, we are totally depleted. It’s no wonder that women are far more likely to be depressed, on anxiety medication, under nourished, over weight, under rested and over exerted than men. After all is said and done, there’s no love left in us for us.
It is time for a paradigm shift of mass proportion. We’ve got to learn how to fill up…so that we can give. As long as we continue to put ourselves last (by giving outwardly with no inward nurturing), we will never be fulfilled, never feel complete, and never fully reach nor exceed our potential. Loving yourself is NOT selfish. It is SELF-FULL! Then and only then can you give of yourself to those you love."
We have a wide ranging vision and we plan to impact the lives of women world-wide, making a mark that cannot be erased.” shares Queenie.
Queenie’s divinely inspired vision in launching The Self-Love Movement, (a mentorship and coaching community for women), was to create an environment that is committed to providing women with information, assistance, education, support, encouragement and most importantly, LOVE.
"The Self-Love Movement will serve as a 'Rites of Passage' for All women. We are creating an online sanctuary that takes each woman by the hand and accompanies her on her journey inward. A community that emphasizes the idea of teaching women how to pursue a life of Equanimity: A balanced state of peace, purpose and whole-life prosperity. At The Self-Love Movement, we believe that living a life of Equanimity creates the most powerful, confident, self-assured, spirit-filled, dynamic, purposeful, accomplished, and JUICY women that can be imagined. I'm on the journey of becoming one of them. Care to join me?" invites Queenie.
“The Self-Love Movement is a God-send,” says one member, “I look forward to my Love Letter each month. It reminds me that I, too, deserve my time, my energy and my love. Thanks so much for offering this. I can’t wait to see what’s to come. By the way, I’m Loving Me TOO!”
