How was 2007 for you?

It was a very challenging and busy year for me. I had some great achievements and I also had some great disappointments.

Every year at this time I like to reflect on the passing year, set new goals and celebrate my accomplishments.

I used to measure my successful year by asking myself - What didn't I finish? Who wasn't I there for? And what could I have done better? Until I realized that the answers to those questions don't support me at all & they won't propel me to the place that I want to stand in - in 2008.

Now is the time to take inventory, set goals and celebrate what you did accomplish in 2007. Whether you made great strides or small victories, you made it this far and you should celebrate.

Take a look in the mirror!

One of the things that I often find difficult is recognizing the greatness in ME. I can see the brilliance in just about everyone I meet. But when I look in the mirror it takes a moment to see the brilliance in me. Know what I mean?

Maybe it's humility or maybe it's that lingering self-esteem issue. Whatever it is...I know that Self-Love tells me to KEEP LOOKING because inevitably the mirror will tell me the truth.

If I give myself enough time and compassion, I will begin to see myself through God's eyes - the eyes of LOVE!

Love says this:

"I was enough in 2007. I did enough, gave enough and no matter what, 2007 was just what it was supposed to be; a series of lessons that have brought me one step closer towards being the woman that I have always been destined to be."

So this year, instead of checking my 2007 To-Do list to see what didn't get done, I now ask myself, "Who did I love this year? Who did I nurture/support this year? Did I listen more this year? What did I learn about ME this year? Did I learn to love me more this year?  What were my biggest (life, Spiritual, physical, marriage, money, relationship) lessons this year?"

The answers to those questions reveal to me the truth about what impact I made in my relationships with myself and my relationships with the people in my world.

So, take some time this month to reflect on the 7 areas of your life and assess where you are today. Make a commitment to you(download) for 2008! Then join us as we all learn to love ourselves a little more this year.

Until next time, Love on you and I'll be loving me. Hugz, Q!
